Lighting Concepts Helps with Small Spaces

We’re sure that many of you live in small homes or have small rooms in your houses.
No matter what your reason for living in a small place, there are certainly some unique decorating challenges you’ll face.  If you’re looking for a space that’s cozy, intimate, and comfortable, that’s easy to do.  Use soft upholstery, dark and warm tones, and some dramatic lighting.  Check out Lighting Concepts for the right lighting solution for your small space.

But if you want to get the most of your small space, you can make some decorating changes that will make the area look and feel a bit bigger.
  • Clear out the clutter!  When things are neatly arranged and out of sight, the space will feel larger, orderly, and more open.  This can help create the illusion of more space.
  • Move furniture out of the walkways.  If you can see the floor, the room will look larger.
  • Warm colors make a space feel small and intimate, but light and cool colors will make the space feel more open.  Soft tones of blue and green work perfectly.
  • Any room will feel larger if it’s well-lit.  Get rid of heavy draperies and let the natural light in.  Adding some flush and semi-flush lighting to the ceiling will also help to brighten the space up.
